750 mg of what exactly? Ibuprofen? Acetomenophen? If so, they're still just painkillers. Migraine medications AREN'T painkillers. Painkillers in higher dosages are often used in conjunction with migraine medicines, but painkillers themselves do absolutely nothing for migraines, just as migraine medications will do nothing to help with pain. Trust me. As someone who is on dilaudid (which is one of the strongest painkillers available) for pain due to illness, they don't do fuck all for migraines. Migraine medicines are things like immitrex, zomig, amerge... countless others, most of which I've been on. Some may have some pain relief in them, but they are not in themselves designed to relieve pain. Incidentally, the one I'm on now, topamax, isn't even for migraines, it's for epilepsy, but it works very well.Quote:

I dunno what they were, ibuprophane I thought, I could be wrong, that was an assumption :lol:

Because most general practitioners haven't the slightest idea of how to treat migraines, and prescribe painkillers. And drug companies cash in on the fact that most migraine sufferers will try anything to get rid of them.
Well I can't dissagree there :lol:
My doc usually says "I'll put my hands up, I don't have a clue" :lol:
Even when I trapped a nerve in my shoulder it was me that told him, he did'nt know til I said :frusty:
Jonno :cool:
He put his hands up even though he knew it was a trapped nerve in the shoulder. No wonder you keep going back.Quote:

@Ad.....Explain?
Jonno :cool:
I'm not Ad, but I have absorbed enough medication to know that mixing different drugs and ingreasing quantities isn't wise.
It may actually cause more harm than good.
Amen sister!Quote:

When I had migrains (thank the gods they're gtting rare) the bastard refused to prescribe me some codein (the only thing that soothed me) because it is an opiate drug. :angry:
edit: spelling and grammar.
The doc always gives me anti-inflamitary's :rolleyes:
