and what my dear sir do you regard as "contributing"? - yogi only complained once he got ambushed by a mob of the self righteous - his contribution exceeds 99%Quote:

Sorry, zed. I don't give out special treatment to those who might be a bit sensitive. Particularly when they insult me.Quote:

Then he went mental by putting half the forum on ignore and pretending to leave and be someone else. I've little sympathy for him and really don't miss reading his drivel in the slightest.
@McSheesh & Manker - merci for explaining yourselves and not simply saying he's crap
- i understand your point of view.
ofcourse there is a very big difference between a personal attack and hmmmm lets say "political view point" attack - as is the case with Busyman in usa threadsssss and 6Xgun thread - but they always end up in personal attacks but on a superficial level - busyman is amazing that he holds his ground.
yogi has always "contributed" on an Extremly personal level and showing Alot of his personal life (yes it is his choice) - and when someone like that gets attacked for "his way of life" - is it then not obvious that he will react and take it in an "personally". ( and rebound likewise?) Busyman has insulted you plenty of times....yet of course with yogi you take it more seriously, why?
You ofcourse have the upper ground because he has "shown" himself to you where as you have shown "Less". Hence who looses? if this was poker - he who showed his cards in the mirror looses.
yes this is the web
are our own lives that interesting? (aska - humiltingly tragic if displyed to the world?)
As for the drivel part - i prefer his "drivel" from the general superficial drivel which can be found anywhere on the web ("shall i eat this 2 week old hamburger? etc" )-ofcourse it is the "reactions" which make a thread interesting - his threads are standalone executables of his insights in his life & are interesting due to my background, but also the "difference " in living. So yes i enjoy his posts out of egocentric reasons(as is each post) and out of pure fascination.
yes this is the web
-"never post your personal information on the web, cause it maybe used against you" (use antispyware)
VS
-"beaurocracy, mcdonalds, microsoft, public transport, all clothes are made in china, the identityless faces and feelings of this world
VS
-this my rabbit & would you like some chilli prawns with the cup of coffee?
the above is simply an elaboration of your use of the word "sensitive".
pffffffffff
Hmm, well I think you're missing the point, zed. It's admirable what you're doing but I think you're slightly off target.
I treat everyone the same, Busyman gets exactly the same treatment as Yogi did. The difference is that Busyman is prepared for a little criticism and didn't leave. Tbh, some of the things I've said to Busy are a lot worse than anything I've said to Yogi.
I do post a fair bit about my life, as does Chebus, but I usually try to be self depreciating or deliberately OTT. Like the bin thread or referring to myself as a grammaticaster bank clerk. Practically everyone derides me but I realise that whatever I post is open to ridicule, if I was bothered that someone wouldn't approve, I wouldn't post it.
As to the rest, Yogi's posts delighted you but they bored me. I'm just being honest, the same as you :)
It never ceases to amaze me that people decide to leave a forum because they have fallen out with certain members. Then they feel obliged to return to the forum to say they have done it.
This is a particularly sad example, as he felt he also had to say that he had found new and better pals.
Take care of yourself, I'm glad you have found a place which you enjoy more than here. If you come back and post here again, cool. If not, all the best to you and your's. I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous life.
Won't he be a happy bunny this thread has gone for so long :)
it's only gone so long because he didn't ask to close itQuote:

Still, I think he got a little over sensitive to the criticisms....
However, some people were a bit h4rsh....
but then those people tend to be...it is their way of doing things sometimes, which in my opinion adds value to the board....
I think the bad thing about all this is that Yogi couldn't take the flack and shrug it off with a smile and a meh.....so now we have lost a real character, love him or hate him, he was certainly a contributor that provided a little off the wall spice, nothing wrong with a little loonyness is there?
I had him marked down as a pseudo loony.Quote:
