Just remember that 90%(This is a guess:)) of English speaking people don't speak or use proper English grammar. Including me.:lol:
All right. You native people just get accustomed to the language. I mean speak fluent words without any hesitation. I'm envious of that. :( Think back to when we Chinese took the English lessons, the teachers always put the grammar in the first place, and this can be reflected in the exams which around 80% tests were directly related to the grammars, the better you learned about them, the higher score you got.
If we devide English into oral English and written English, maybe most of us would be better at the latter one, but so what?:( We still have difficulties communicating with you guys, although you may understand what we try to express.

I am inherently ignorant. We/I expect other nations to learn our/my language rather than learn another language.:cry: We dont try to learn Chinese because there are many dialects(Or so we are told) and very few teachers.:)

No war experience. The first 6 years of my life were during the Second World War(1939-46). I did see troop convoys during this time. At that age I did not have a clue what it was all about.:) I was lucky that during my army service(1958-61) I was not posted to an 'active' zone'.

Without a doubt. If anything was good it would sell by word of mouth. A salesperson's (PC :))job is to sell as many products as he/she can. As soon as you buy something they move on to the nextvictimcustomer.

Yes, of course, and most of them were bought from the internet. The information or description of the product is always greatly different from the real thing.

Yes but not from an individual. always from an organization.
