I believe that torrentbytes is underestimated. The tracker says clear that is a 0-day scene tracker. Nothing more! So a 4 or 4.5 for content would be better.
The speed is really awesome! I have get 10.2 MB/sec there :D So a 4/5 at least. Why not 4.5
Pre times 4/5 is fair :)
The confirmation during sign up is real pain in the ass
Good reviews Shalafi. Keep up the good work :)
Re: What Invites Are Worth [With Reviews And Ratings]
am not gonna talk abt rarity..but shouldnt TT's content increase a bit..it;s more than 3.5 ..every 1 say its the best tracker for that taste!

Should there be a standard for speed ratings?
Average popular new release file speed (i.e. new episode of Lost):
[1] <20kb/s
[2] 20 - 100kb/s
[3] 100 - 500kb/s
[4] 500 - 1500kb/s
[5] >1500kb/s
What's everyone think? From what I've read (since I don't have it), ScT has the best down speeds, so how's it rate on this scale (a [6]? :P).
I'd say your speed rating scale is pretty good :). That's what I tend to interpret the speed ratings as...
I think [4] should be lower speeds though.. Maybe we should make an official speed rating scaling :)
But I also tend to think of the Speed rating as speed across all torrents, and not just the newest ones. I mean, if you look at sites like FTN, their new ones get seeded a lot and its very fast, but because of their small user base, most of the older torrents don't get seeded much at all and you get really slow speeds on them. On the other hand, TL has quite a lot of well seeded old torrents.
Good point about the speed of old files. So how about this:
Average popular new release file speed (i.e. new episode of Lost):
[1] <20kb/s
[2] 20 - 100kb/s
[3] 100 - 500kb/s
[4] 500 - 1000kb/s
[5] >1000kb/s
-0.5 if speeds are not so great on older files. The negative score is small since most of the faster trackers are 0day trackers and new files are the priority for most grabs.
So based on Buggyme's comments and current user review speed ratings,
FTN's speed: 5.0 - 0.5 = 4.5
TL's speed: 4.5 - 0.0 = 4.5
/edited: fixed calculations. I once told a lecturer "I don't do no maths" and then realised I actually said it out loud.... lol.
Re: What Invites Are Worth [With Reviews And Ratings]
lol, 4.5 - 0.5 = 4.5 :P
I'm starting to think that this speed scaling thing is a bad idea - it overcomplicates things.
Like, when you say "new release file speed" - do you mean when the file is released? or like 15-30 minutes after?
Re: What Invites Are Worth [With Reviews And Ratings]
I think that EXigo should be back by 0.5

+1
Lets make this simple:
ScT is level 5, right? It has 12000 users and some of them have invites.
FTN is level 5, right? It has something like 5000 users and some of them have invites.
E***o is level 4.5 and has something like 1200 users, none of them have invites and only some can REQUEST them AND the requirements for getting one increased lately (everybody seems to have missed that ), and you're trying to decrease its rarity level
C'mon, I want it too, but that's not fair at all.
We could also arrange that ScT drops by -3 so we all get them, and then put it back in the throne :noes:
