You should just edit out your first post (if you want it for keepsake, hide it in a spoiler). Just edit it out with "FSC Recruitment closed", most members can read three words strung together I think.

Even if I wasn't so negative to start out, seeing most of thees people post would have given the same result. In my case it's just reinforcement.

Don't think of it as "denied", just "won't be read until you post another one, in a later, open recruitment thread".
