well I would be using soulseek now but I can't unless I use another user name but fuck that I would have to get everyone to re add me again pain in the ass

I jsut dont get it its the weridest thign that can happen with thsi program I use -Ad- and am getting a constand 28k speed off celery
I use Adster I get 26k for 2 minutes then to 6 then to 0.5 and then all of a sudden I cant browse the net or use any other P2P program bandwith jsut goes to 0k I close soulseek everything back to normal. I login back as the old -Ad- perfect all the way

Well, my plan is to have a private IRC channel, for broadband users on this forum. Celery, Spiderdude, and a few other fast connects will be able jump right in and download. My speeds are much faster on IRC. I send at 25KB to 45KB depending on the user. That way I can hit them off with the new stuff, without waiting in que. Then there will be multiple sources available for download in our SoulSeek room. Don't worry FC, I won't abandon you guys. ;)
Unless of course, you can find me someone on an EDU connection. Then we could create a dump, and I can just FTP the files to it. :huh:

soulseek has a bandwidth overhead, which needs to be taken into consideration. if ad's connection is really fast and he is using it all for slsk there is every chance slsk is using him as a supernode. :o

First things first. I limit my upload capabilitiy to 3 sends, total of 21KB upload. That gives three possible sends, two broadband users, and 1 56ker, all at 8k or better. :huh:
Edit: SS doesn't use supernodes like kazaa, its actually very close to a direct connect type of progie
