What is the best anti virus software to get?

I have been using Avast free for decades combined with Zone Alarm free and as far as I know I have never been hacked. Of course I set all connections to public for added security and retraining Zone Alarm every couple of years is a little annoying as I usually do a system reinstall when windows starts crashing or getting slow. And finally I have No Script set up in my browser.

Malware Bytes is my go to.
