Re: Last one to post wins the internets
I have yet to watch El Camino. Better Call Saul didn't really connect with me. It seemed more like a backfill than it's own thing-- we know who survives so any real excitement is deflated, and there are only so many pieces of history that are overly important/interesting.
Mr. Robot started out really interesting, but for some reason I abandoned it after about the first season. Maybe I need to start over and binge it.
It's good to know nzb's have made it possible to have entertainment during the apocalypse for the next generation.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
My daughter went through a period of obsession with gacha games. I believe it must be a rite of passage for every parent to throw wheelbarrows of money at it to appease their masters children.

Youse guys are going about it all wrong. Here, let me try.
Shay buddy, this is your promised land. God needs you to return. If you do then we swear that we will let you displace chalice.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
I'll even let you bomb my hospitalised children and deprive me of water and electricity and basic human needs.
You'll love it.

Given how high the bar was, I also expected supreme greatness, but eventually realized that both were a way of giving fans more Breaking Bad without actually giving them more Breaking Bad and were therefore bound by that limitation. With expectations set accordingly, I believe you'll find them an enjoyable (re)watch. Saul in particular managed to avoid that "but the original never said this bullshit we just came up with didn't happen!" effect which plagues sequels so much :ermm:

First two seasons were excellent. Then it slowly started slowly losing its touch, but still ended on a fairly high note - they wanted to actually quit while they were ahead ;)

eMule is not completely dead either and is apparently well-beloved by fans of foreign cinema.

Whole thing's basically legal underage gambling. Make her mow some lawns and shit, then she will eventually realize how bullshit spending money on virtual items is. Or become a Russian hacker.

If that doesn't entice him then he's dead.

The Boondock Saints or if you've seen everything then Defendor.

The Boondock Saints, I've seen years ago. Didn't like it. Thought it was wank. Defendor rings a bell, but given your first suggestion, that's probably wank too.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
It's got Woody out of Cheers in it, innit. So think I'll give it a tentative whirl.
Mission accomplished.
-
Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Give me an example of something that you did like, that would help.
Boondock Saints was honestly mostly for Wilem Dafoe and Saint Patrick's Day. Defendor is a bit subversive, unexpected and sad.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
The Wages of Fear or Sorcerer which is the later American version.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
I usually go for director filmographies and keep digging until I hit precious metal
David Lynch, the Coens (Miller's Crossing is my fave), Leone, Scorsese, Lumet, Ford, Jodorowski, Ridley Scott (sometimes, The Duellists, his first is one of his best), Hitchcock, Anderson, KUBRICK, Tim Burton has his moments, Kurosowa. These are just off the top of my head. Many more besides. You get the gist.
I'm more interested in directors and writers than wanky actors, though some are indisputably brilliant. You know who they are.
What's happening with the board, fellas? It's driving me fucking nuts. Just a simple 'it's broked' would suffice. Server Too Busy, my arse. :dabs:

I agree. Always liked that movie. Supposedly, Scott had real difficulty securing the funding to make it.

I remember Manker really enjoyed The Duellists

I watch the first episode about a year ago when the real hype started. I thought it was genuinely terrible. I'd take Invincible the football movie with Wahlberg over this and that movie sucked.

What are you, twelve? This is epic, groundbreaking shit. There's a lot of ground to lay before we hit hyper speed.
Stretch your fucking synapses and watch it, you fucking 'gimme everything now', adolescent mong.

Well, I've finally done it. Life's vocation achieved. I have reached dominion and harshed every human from the board. It hasn't been easy, but luckily I take pleasure in my work. Dedicated to my mother who always gave me the encouragement I needed to become supreme cunt of the internets.

Nah, I'm just opposed to the existential pressures of being judged whether or not I'm human each time I come to the bored. Life is stressful enough without some AI performing a Turing test on me.

Oh a cartoon that is ultra-violent, lacks a moral center and revolves around broken relationships and superheroes (and bad voice acting) is groundbreaking? Well fuck me, Ralph Bakshi, anything by Marvel ever and Alan Moore.

You know the World is fucked up when AI is the one asking you if you're human.

You know the part in Terminator 2 where Sarah Connor determines to track down and kill the man behind Skynet? Good idea in retrospect.

I'm half sure that anon is AI. No one is that even-keeled all the time.
Fuck you AI, anon.

Suit yourself, Palestine. Go back to your obscure, pretentious foreign language, badly lit indulgences and masturbate in your own discerning faeces.
