I first started with Windows.
I didn't want to pay for the next edition since the first cost me a bundle and it sucked so I just downloaded it, that got me hooked.
I'll still buy something worth it but otherwise forget it.

about 10 years
I've been pirating for as long as I can remember. First it was getting cracked/hacked games like Wolfenstein 3D from my dad's work buddies and/or my cousins (I once had one with a bunch of Simpsons images in the levels). I got into music downloading about 6-7 years ago, and now almost everything on my hard drive is illegal. Ironically, Windows is not.
