Metal Gear Solid 3 was one of the best games I've ever played.

Age of empires 3, a damn fine choice! I burnt many many hours there.... If you`ve not tried it then see if you can find Dungeon Keeper 2. GOG did a release but even then it isn`t great for compatibility but I think you`d like it as one of the most well written games ever (populous etc in that club too)
