Yea this film didn`t exactly give me the "wow" feeling I had after leaving the cinema when I saw "the Matrix". Well I guess that would have been too much to ask for. The originallity was what made the first one. Good action though. I didn`t exactly like the Zion part either. I had the feeling it took the film a while to really kick off. Allso I think It was too much political and quasi-philosophical.

But damn that scene with Neo and the hundreds of Smiths has got to be one of the best action scenes ever! :D

Anyway, looking forward to the final part.

You hit the nail on the head there :D when I left the movie theater there were lots of people hanging outside saying how crap that film was and that there was too much talking and not enough fighting,

I think alot of people like crazy_billy_bats were all miss lead by the hype, or just watched the first film and thought the second was going to be exactly the same

Hmmm...I was dissapointed with this film. Actually I was never a big fan of the original either. The problem I found with this film...was not with the fight scenes...nor was it with the philosophy...both were well done. But...the film was too muddled...it just didnt quite flow correctly. As a director you need to be able to draw your audience in...and the Wachowskis in my opinion did not do that. They presented some very interesting points, espechially near the end with the Architect...but...it was already too late. The whole first hour of the film was a lrage mistep, the ideas were there they just werent used correctly. But the film was enough to catch my interest, and I am lookingn quite forward to Revolutions...I just hope that it is put together more efficiently.

the reason so many were disapointd, i think is because there was jst too much hype, it is jst as good as the 1st, and of course its not gonna have the same 'wow' factor, the reason it had the wow factor was because it was an unexplored idea. u knew the idea wen u wlkd in the cinema, they cld only build on that wow factor.

i think it is a brill film, i wasnt disapoinred at all. not fond of the bowlin pin noise tho lol

To much religion that just seems to dull the stroy. It's better when they are fighting more for freedom than worrying about this religios crap.

I think what spoiled it was the fact their were too many sub plots for you to get a clear understanding of the main film................

If you think about it, the matrix had one, maybe two plots going on at the same time, so you could devote all your thinking to the idea of the matrix, this has many different things and its hard to get a train of thought going.....like the whole doors thing, touched on breifly then left, then the twins, appaered for 20 mins, got killed, left...the whole Merblahblah bit, touched on, then left......

I think this could have been much better if there was a clear process, with one idea running through the whole movie, rather than a million and one, left halfway through and parted with a fight scene.....

It was a potentially ground breaking movie, just structured wrong in my opinion

Good point RGX ....the directors lost their direction with their film...there were too many things going on...and they werent connected correctly.

Yea, I think you`re on to something.

The ghost did not die. They ghosted out when the car exploded. And from what I can tell, it would be extremely hard to kill the ghost because whenever they get wounded they just ghost themselves and the wound heals.
