Re: Water cooled setup
Meh, It got worse when I enabled write back cache. I always thought it was something to be disabled for performance?

I have the GTX 260 but it looks like your score is better than mine, no? My other scores are liveable for the time being. What temps are you running at with that OC? Like I said my ambient here is fucking hot ATM but I still feel like my baby should be cooler than it is. Today my temps are:

Do you think I have too much on the one loop with a 120X2 rad? This is the one I have now. If need be I can re use my older one. I'll give up the top mount and rear mount the triple 120mm or something. Also I could always add another loop for just the Vid card. The thing I dont get is this. The loop goes CPU>Northbridge>Vid Card. So the Vid card is getting the warmest water right? but my vid card temps aren't bad I dont thing, just the CPU is hot. Here are the temps as everest sees them.

Any Ideas??
EDIT: Looks like I did have to disable the write back cache as my disk scor is now somehow way better, but the CPU score is slightly slower.

Re: Water cooled setup
Go to nVidia and get their latest driver (181.71)...don't use the MS supplied version.
My CPU sensors are all FUBAR so RealTemp/CoreTemp are useless.
My Everest supplied "CPU temp" has always been in the low 30's, so we're not that far off.
Go to Device Manager, right click on your disks (volumes) and check "enable write back caching", do the same in Intel Matrix Storage.
Don't argue, just do it.

Re: Water cooled setup
LOL, I did enable them and I got the lower scores. I'll try it again if you say so bro.

Re: Water cooled setup
Hmmm.
Are these new Seagate drives?
Are the jumpers capping them to SATA 1 speed still in place?
-
Re: Water cooled setup
They're relatively new (around 4 months) And yes I removed the jumpers. Something's a foot though.

Re: Water cooled setup
Feet make terrible storage devices.

Re: Water cooled setup
Well I just noticed that it had the f5 bios in it. Hopefully this will help some. I'm updating it now and will re-run all tests. Also I just started pumping the AC so things will cool off in here as well and trickle down to Bertha (new name :) )
Well I OC'd to 3.6 and looks like things are looking up. I didn't install the new vid driver yet (damn kids and their dinner time!!) Here's whats happening now

Take 2 with the Nvidia driver installed:

We're getting there I guess. A little more tweaking and playing with the Ntune util and I will feel better I think :)
