If she uses the same cable and phone socket as she uses for her PC and still can't connect, then that eliminates the possibility of any of the wiring being faulty (seeing as it works with the PC).
Only if the cable connections on both modems are the same (but true for the phone line).

I'm just trying to explore all possibilities - sometimes it can be the most silly things. I once had the 1571 problem and was tearing my hair out until it dawned on me.
No Lamsey, i havent used the cable from the puter.
I will try that though.
It doesnt have a battery yet, that wouldn't make any difference, would it? :blink:
I do only have two cables for it, and the modem is inside it.
As far as I now, everything is up to date.
