It is actually 3 r 1 but divide the r1 by the original 2 = 1/2.

Biggles, you are correct. So am I, but I am a big fan of integers :smilie4:

I do alot of DIV and MOD calculations on integers.

7 DIV 2 = 3
7 MOD 2 = 1

7 DIV 3 = 2
7 MOD 3 = 1

So did I, Biggles. :(

Anyhow, I learnt long division in about grade three.

We didn't have "grades" when I learnt long division cos counting came later. :huh:

What about calcuting the square root without using a calc? :D
