Plain and simple.

I see the results of this philosophy every day and it's just not worth it.
If you don't have a minimum of a 1GHz CPU and 512MB of RAM XP just crawls.
Toss in Norton and AOL (both real crowd pleasers) and you have the perfect recipe for suicide.

For some reason, practicioners of the "just slap XP on it" theory are also inordinately fond of animated cursors (their fave being the skindiver/starfish) and the fishtank screensaver.
Not sure why.

Right, can still run it, but its gonna be slow as hell even with disabled services and such.

Animated curses? She does have the fishtank background...not the screensaver...

Damn does windows ME deserve this much attention...We all know it Sucks big time LOL

why not jsut buy a copy of 98se or win2000 on ebay for like, 50p?
