LoL aye MERP - complicated for a pen and paper kinda role playing experience (at least for a thicko like me) But the background story and extra stuff you could get was really amazing. Not to mention the great art work. Basically we used MERP as the structure but quickly ditched the rules or slightly simplified them to our needs.

Great memories..using hobbits as bobby trap detectors :P

Final Fantasy 5 & 6 for me

Might and Magic VII was the first RPG I played.

And I still love it.

I remember the criticals tables, they were ace.

The Star Wars rpg.

That was the pwnage, even tho' the tard who gm'd had tweaked the rules so we could have an über-ship for a fraction of the price you'd pay for something like the Millenium Falcon.

Final fantasy 7 in ruined my life it came out in 96 but I didnt play it till abotu year 2000
