What is the best story driven game?

Ya I agree Advent Rising, Is very good and a must.

Max Payne held my interest - that's about as good as most games can expect.

The story in FF7 was nonsense (and very very bad). Fact.

I've completed it three times, I didn't say the game was bad (in fact in one of my posts in this thread I said I rated it as one of my all time favourite games). However, the story really does suck, it's a mess.

Same thing with most of the Final Fantasy games to be honest.
