Any help with the touchdown thing. You seem the sort of chap that would know that.
I think (I could be wrong) they call it a touchdown cos when the sport first started the ball had to touch the ground like rugby!! :D
Only what I remember John Madden say, but I may have missunderstood :D

In the past when the player touched the ball down over the line they did not get any points. However they got the chance to try with a kick.

Wow, JP, My Father used to play Rugby for county, and was on the England squad till he totalled his leg, and I got him with that trivia!!
