Yeah, I'm so l33t I only download blu-ray stuff and FLAC audio files.
The marginal increase in quality means so much to me.
I rip my dvdr's to xvid for archiving, ripping from dvd5 produces poor results....I think you forgot the /sarcasm tag Bo...
P.S. I am a ripping perfectionist Nazi....that's not l33t at all btw, it's actually quite sad....:( But i'm addicted....
I have actually got a blu-ray writer here, never used it tho'.
I didn't buy it like, my brother did cause he likes to piss money away.
I just get the mkv rips they're fine and 8gb is plenty size for a flick IMO...Those bluray images are 45gb to DL....I haven't the internet powers for that....yet
I've only got 1gb of ram and a 3ghz processor, my pc can't run hd-dvds without it being jumpy and I assume it's the same for blu-ray tho' i've never tried any.
They do look good on my brother's pc on his 70" telly, like.
I'm happy enough watching stuff through the vivo thing on my graphics card on my 28" crt telly, but.
A microwave.
