Re: What trackers might be worth trying to get on for me?
If you're mainly interested in 0day content and nothing else about a tracker, then just stick with TL. No need to waste your hours trying to collect a FTN invite when you can have the same stuff uploaded under 2 minutes later at TL. TL also has a request section for scene releases, so I'd just use that too.
As for 'general' content, I'd stick with Demonoid; speeds may not be so hot, but breadth of content is guaranteed.

0-Day and General: TL, SCC, TB, IPTorrents, Demonoid
Music: Waffles, What, IndieTorrents
Movies: Karagarga, Cinemageddon, Secret-Cinema, TehConnection, The Horror Charnel
TV: BitMeTV, TVTorrents.com, TV-Vault
Learning: BitMe, BitSpyder
Pron: PureTnA, Cheggit, Empornium
Considerations:
- I am mainly interested in general content, 0-day and/or movie trackers that might be useful to me.
- I am not interested in non-English sites or sites with mostly non-English content
- I am not interested in HD sites (I'll hit HDBits.org if I finally start downloading HD content)
- I am not interested in trackers specializing in gaming, Mac stuff, DVDRs, lossless music, specific musical genres, music videos, magic, sports, wrestling/MMA/fighting, anime, children, or christian.
So, any suggestions? iTS? ScL? PTN? SDBits? GFT? TiT? Personal favorites?
You pretty much have everything worth having. Especially after seeing your non interested list.

Thanks grimms, and thanks to everyone else for your helpful comments and PMs. This thread can be closed if a mod is reading this.

Dude, thats plenty of sites for everything that you could want. Your the definition of a collector. You probably rarely use half of those sites. Just stick with a few sites and work on your reputation at those sites.
I like to have 1 main and 1 backup site for my interests.
TL and sc*
what and waffles
hdb and bithdtv
occasionally I will use underground gamer for classic stuff
Got all my bases covered well, and maintain good ratios and am active at all of them.

Thanks. Unfortunately, this is the only helpful sentence in your post. :(

As I stated in response to a baseless "collector" accusation above:

(BTW, it's "You're," not "Your." It's not just a spelling mistake - they are completely different words, and many people will assume you are unintelligent or uneducated (or both) when you can't use the right one.) :whistling

That's probably somewhat accurate. I use many of the sites I listed quite frequently. Some others, like the more specialized trackers (CG, Horror Charnel, TV-Vault, IndieTorrents) and Demonoid, I use less frequently, since I go on them mainly to get specific content that I am unable or unlikely to find elsewhere. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. How frequently (or infrequently) I use a site is really irrelevant. Bottom line: I use, enjoy and keep a good ratio on all the sites at which I'm a member.

Thanks Dad, but I didn't ask for advice on torrenting best practices (I'm not a noob) - I just wondered if there were any sites that might be worth checking/trying out.
