I thought Mulder invented it.

To me XP is like an old friend , only it took me 5 years to set it up how I like it . My setup looks like Vista but runs flawless with 4 gb of ram ( reads 3.25 gb tho ) , so saw no need to use Vista 32 or 64 bit flavors .
Believe me I tried a few , will wait with baited breath for Sev7n tho when mainstream .
I think you and me might have been the only ones that got it tesco.~~
And Mulder of course.
Well that magical Windoze 7 you speak of might have been Microshit realizing Linux was taking over, thus retracing it's steps from their current monster-RAM-eating Shitista (BTW clockman, RAM is that cheap in the US of A my friend, where I stand it's still not THAT accessible) back to more simple, rural-like times.
Linux is taking over?
According to this, it has a long way to go.
If I had half the PC knowledge that you hold, I would try it. As is though, I wouldn't even know where to start or what to do. Reformat the C drive and install another OS? I know how to format a secondary drive using Windows, but if I were to format my C drive, Windows would be gone too.
The risk of something going wrong and then having to pay someone a to fix the PC just isn't worth it for me of most others.
man, use VMWare to install it "virtually" and check for yourself what you think of it.
then, if u decide to go ahead installing it as a primary OS, mostly what you need to do is to backup all your sensitive data (docs, pics, etc etc) and go ahead.
Making a partition in the HDD would even allow u to use both, deciding at the boot which one to go.
