One of the first that I can remember is Free Willy.
My parents were never really that into going to see movies, I'm not really sure why they picked free willy.
That's one of only 3 times I ever remember my dad going to see a movie.

my aunt brought me along to see PURPLE RAIN. i remember being in the theatre with a baby bottle filled with strawberry quik.
