Bt Downloading

to finish allocation is to fully allocate the space required for the complete file on ur harddisk. i guess how this MAY increase ur speed is tat it opens up more parts to be downloadable, so the client could look for more peers to download the parts from. have tried it a few times, but it doesn&#39;t seem to work for me. the only thing it does is tat it increases the initial startup time(&#39;checking existing files&#39; phase) when u restart the download, which sucks. reminds me of the earlier builds where file sizes are fully allocated... <_<

no one told what finish allocation does. And yes I&#39;m downloading on a green status light, I already allowed ports 6881-6999 to enter.

And here&#39;s another qeustion, is it normal for the bt client to stop downloading but have no error message? Throughout my time downloading the rest of the 30% of my MP2 download I have already froze on my download with no error messages 3 times.

Is it normal that my status light is green, everything seems normal, eg estimated time shown, peers connected shown, no error messages but I&#39;m not uploading or downloading at all??

anyone know why this happens? it still happens often.

It&#39;s operating properly u just aren&#39;t getting any connection try closing it down and resuming. the download an see if it works that time.

is it green or yellow?
