Re: The official 'Young Ben's sibling's first appearance" thread
I have just sent an e-mail to their complaints department asking for an explanation.
If the policy is there, then they should give people a reason. It doesn't make sense to have it in one hospital and not in another, in essence, it's geographical discrimination. Especially considering the fact that all the hospitals are nationalised.
You can go private here as well, but it's expensive.

Go get 'em, Skweeky! Honestly, I didn't mean to get you riled up, but they really do owe you an explanation. Obviously, they have had others upset, or they wouldn't have the signs all over.
Very curious what they have to say for themselves...
Re: The official 'Young Ben's sibling's first appearance" thread
Well, the whole point is, if they would provide a decent explanation for it in the first place, people probably wouldn't get annoyed about it.
The way they are handling it is like it's a big secret and you should never as about it.
Re: The official 'Young Ben's sibling's first appearance" thread
As you said, it is in your body. You should have the right to know.
As for the extra time it takes, they could simply say, "we will try to determine the gender when the baby is in an agreeable position". Or something similar. However, I don't think that is the issue here...
Re: The official 'Young Ben's sibling's first appearance" thread
I don't think it is either, as I said, they don't have an issue with it in other much much busier hospitals.
