The evidence they obtain is via internet records, not from your hard drive (in general). Truecrypt won't do anything (though it's a good idea for other reasons). But yes, a VPN/SSH Tunnel/Proxy helps.
If they are only targeting german porn, I'm on the safe side. They have the worst porn possible. Yuck.
