Weird thing but I've only just picked up on why some of the older lads call Biggles, Big Les - sometimes it takes things a while to sink in with me, I thought they knew that his real name was Les. Yeah anyway, so I always read his name as Big Les now.

Yup, read them when I was a wee one.

There's a movie too.

Well, yeah. I'd read a few Biggles books so presumed that's where the name came from.

It's just that the realisation of the origin of Big Les dawning on me with a mental thump makes me read Big Les when I see him post.
