MORTICIAN blown to pieces
DISMEMBER soon to be dead
SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION and more
Seeing as how this is my thread, I'd like to update it:
The entire Ashes of the Wake album
:01:
Silver Machine - Hawkwind :)
simonandgarfunkel - the sound of silence
Megedeth - Symphony of Destruction
Pantera - Walk
Metallica - Sad but True
Finally someone who knows what "Heavy" music is all about!!
Here is my "Heavy" list:
Aetenus - Denial of Salvation
Immortal - Withstand The Fall Of Time
Immortal - My Dimension
Immortal - Beyond The North Waves
Immortal - Blashyrkh (Mighty Ravendark)
Anaal Nathrakh - Pandemonic Hyperblast
Nargaroth - Black Metal Ist Krieg
Nargaroth - Abschiedsbrief Des Prometheus
Pagan Winter - In The Shadowlands
Just listen to any grindcore or brutal death band, like Cannibal Corpse etc. All their songs are plain brutal. Also some true black metal bands, like Burzum are really heavy.
Then you might enjoy this :D

Yup tis me.
Beaten Senseless-Biohazard
Strength Beyond Strength-Pantera
Electric Funeral-Black Sabbath
Planets Collide-Crowbar

Since every person is going to have a unique perspective on what they consider the heaviest songs/song of all time, and while it's close to impossible to say for sure, this list should serve as a primer to anybody willing to hear what true brute-force metal sounds like.

w0w, i just now ventured into this thread. lol, there's a gay music listed here as "heavy". maybe i'm wrong, but when i think of heavy i pretty much think of death metal. idk. talks of rob zombie, static-x, (lol)korn, chevelle and especially stone temple pilots just make me laugh. sure, i like those bands as well, but they are definitely not this heavy stuff u guys are talking about. mite as well throw in some country while ur at it?
some have been listed and most should know these by name so...
1. cannibal corpse
2. kataklysm
3. deicide
4. morbid angel
5. six feet under
Maybe, you'd like to say Nile, Nasum, Vader or whatever.. But Pantera - Walk has to be the meanest, heaviest motherfucker out there.. there's nothing HEAVY about blastbeats and grindcore really.. it's all about the fucking breakdowns and chainsaw riffing..
Cannibal Corpse - Unleashing the bloodhirsty
Pantera - Slaughtered
Slayer - Bitter Face
Sepultura - Propaganda
Metallica-The Thing That Should Not Be (i like)
for me, a lightweight in metal etc, it would have to be anything off the underoath - act of depression. Great album
