and what about the past which we got them how can we add them in Reputation for example i had 3 am i going to miss them and start from the begining ?

people, please stop giving +1, that is the old system, which isnt in use anymore, read the first page in this thread, now you only click the icon under postcount with the green checker and add to ones reputation...

dont know if anything can be done about it but I am seeing all over people abusing it. starting threads asking anyone too boost their rep...both here in the bittorrent threads and in the lounge people are trowing out points just because their buddies...

Just ignore it. The Lounge posters don't ever post in this armpit of a board section as we have all the invites/tracker memberships we'll ever need (or we started using newsgroups...). Even so, I've had more invites off my "buddies" in the Lounge, and for free no less, than I'd ever hope to get in this section of the board so I'm fully entitled to bestow my "buddies" with some rep.

Well, the fairest way to do it all would be to disable giving rep to anyone outside of this "section" and then have it so the trader rep can only be seen in the person's profile (so as to stop claims of elitism) or just in this section. After all, trader rep is only relevant to this section.

BTW, the rep system seems broke to me, anyone who goes over +10 gets reverted back to +1. Rush job? :dabs:

Even though the change to this new system might be a bit "hard" and "abrupt".
What if for some reason the ppl i traded with in the past are not longer using this site for any reason?
When i now have a rating of let's say 10, PM all the users i traded with and 5 rate me in the new system, how and where can i see who rated me +1?

Sorry, i was not rated when i asked that n00bs question.
But as far as i can see it, i cannot rate a user when i simply access their profile, i have to chose any post they made.
So in the end, anybody can see why i rated this user (which topic / post), right?
Not as anonymous as the old rating system in my eyes...

[User] has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her. :-/

Hmmm this is wierd. When i click the rep button under my name it says i have 11 points but when you actually look under my name it says +1.


Why is that?

somebody was saying that when you get over 10 you get back to one and not 11, people are working on fixing it...

Everyone is supposed to get 10 reputation points to start with.
So yeah, therefore: Trading Rep. = 10 + how many you get from others...

If you want to view comments on amy members trade you can view it their profile. Weve removed the ability to view who left the trade as that isnt needed and dont think that should be public so as far as anonyminity goes it may be better this way.

You may be out of luck and have to move foward. The new system has many benifits and the prior has served its course. You could link a member your rating on the the prior list. Think thats the best you can do perhaps.

The default for vb rep points when you signup is 10 so that is equal to 0 points. Might take a look if its possible to change that for all members later on.

Yeah, good job RealitY.

You're getting there. Now make it so you can only see it in the person's profile, the rest of the board isn't really interested in how many invites somebody gave out from Demonoid or the like. If you need to check a person's rep you can click their profile and I'm sure there's a way to make a league table as well.

Also, people are more likely to abuse the system if they are earning little green boxes under their avatars. In much the same way that people spam for little stars above their name.

Think having it below a members name takes little space or has any real drawbacks.
Those that want can disregard it and others have a quick view of it...

No, it looks messy. Especially all the people in the Lounge who have "Trading Rep +1" under their avatar even though they don't post in or care about this section of the board.
