I second this, tons of crap to deal with...

Probably..
not probably ..definitely
Let the people make the choice self.
Never tried Kaaza, so I'm keeping my fingers closed.
Anyway I recommend Torrents as well.
it was a time when klite was the center of all filesharing and now look its been ages and this thread isnt leaving its spot on subforum
i don`t care i wouldn`t use it if it where the last thing !
I still use it to download songs, you just have to be careful when choosing all the songs to avoid virus
Kazzaaaa is FULL of viruses+spywares+adwares :D
Shit I used to use Kazaa Lite for music. It used to be the best at one point. The best one ever was napster when it was free. Then Audiogalaxy. With those 2 I could find anything, didn't matter what kind of music. Not like today. You need several sources to get music now. There is a lot of Spanish music that can't be found that easy. I don't think I ever got viruses on kazaa when I used it. I only used it for music though.
Virues it is always attacked
Even if KaZaA is full of viruses it really shouldn't be that hard to spot the real files from the infected files. F.e. if the file is in the wrong format, doesn't have a lot of users, weird naming....
ok,thanks
i don't understand how can people still use kazaa since there's so many way to fit your needs with other p2p protocols.
The Year is 2008 people. Just a reminder.
it will always be full of virus ;)
actually i never used kazaa. when i started to download something seriously, i was introduced to torrent world.
depends on what are u trying to download...
I think every torrent has virus,a lot of virus.
But u can use bitorrent and u can find more things that u can find in kazaa
kazaa is total crap... Anyone who is still using it must STOP using it NOW....... Use emule/torrents/usenet..
I can use limewire.. That's how far I can go with this protocol :)
limewire is also "total crap", don't bother with it...
Limewire was my first p2p program.
Get yourself a private torrent tracker, kazza is full of viruses
yes it is
Wow! I can't believe kazaa (in any format) still exist today when there are so many better p2p programs out there and to top it off, people are still using it...unbelievable!
Yes I am shocked it is still going too...I wonder why?
I used k-lite along with a couple sites that would give you true release names with the exact size of files...
I used to get so pissed when I would download a movie on dial-up and it be a totally different movie than I thought I was getting...
I never even got a chance to use it(as I think I remember). I was on Windows at the time, I installed the app, then boom...got nailed with viruses.
So I thought fuck this. I deleted it then cleaned my computer and never tried it again.
I'm seriously surprised to see this site still has this Kazaa board. They should delete it and put Soulseek in its place. :naughty:
i dont know what you guys are talking about, kazza is the best and most safest p2p protocol out there.
i used to use kazza, limewire, morpheus, ... why back when. im gald i got turned on to torrents cause i was getting some nasty malware and whatnot from all that pr0n i was dling.
I used kazaa a few weeks ago, for 1 song... after trying 3 copies of the song because it was infected with trojans... I stopped.
Torrents are so much safer and worth your time to learn.
Once you get into private trackers your set basically.
Torrents are pretty much point and click too at the basic level. I think people just use kazaa out of ignorance.
On p2p programs like ares or limewire is that sometimes is easier to find ONE single song, or some south american artists that you can't find in torrents.
they will always be because its a public p2p client. Stay away from those. Private trackers are far better :)
I still use Limewire and Soulseek for hard to find songs but 80% of the time i use bittorrent(utorrent) what.cd,btjunkie
limewire can be safe if you use commonsense like mp3s that are 3+minutes long but are less than 1mb in size or 10+mb in size are obvious malware.
also a good antivirus program like nod32 and malwarebytes can help.
Indeed, Kazaa and Gnutella Networks are full of viruses that's why I stopped using those networks and started using private trackers instead. Because private sites have an administration staff who do the job to clean bad files (the metadata or torrent to be precise) and only allow to share the good ones :)
