I'd love a nasal septum piercing, but I imagine it'd feel like you had constant crusties dangling out.
I'm a bit wary of piercings since I had the cartilage in me ear done.
It still oozes pus n manky gunk like 13+ years on.
it might be infected then
I tinks the market pleb just pierced the wrong part of the ear.
It makes me happy squeezing all gunk out of it every so often tho. :mini blush:
I quite like mouche- (or monroe-) style piercings on women (makes blokes look like smacktards, though), but it sort of requires that you find chicks with piercings and tats and such attractive in the first place.
In addition to that they don't get in the way or get stuck on things easily (which may be a problem with piercings really close to your mouth), while it isn't that common (at least not here). Nowadays a hell of a lot of (really annoying) people have pierced nostrils or eyebrows and such.
Furthermore it's not quite such a bastard to heal as pierced cartilage like in most of your ears (c.f. Lynne's post). Some piercings never cease to look nasty to me, and a huge part of that is because they constantly come in contact with things or just never heal at all, and never cease to look irritated or infected. A nostril piercing or something oozing pus is seriously unattractive.
Nasal piercings just look wrong to me. Makes me think of cattle or something. I think some seriously weird S&M-people, with emphasis on the "M" get them. To be lead around by :dabs: The best thing I can say about it is that I guess it's good for shocking people, and it's not quite as stupid as something like a smiley.Quote:

cause they look ghey, as do all other piercings, rly.
I'd never have the guts to do it, but I do like the look a big chunky bullhorn.
I also like the eyebrow and bridge bars, but I doubt I could get one and not end up looking like a total crosseyed mong. :ermm:
I'd would love to have my wrists tatted though. : one day:

Not the best example, but.
Proper mongs get smileys :dabs:
Oh, thought of another thing wot's good with a nasal septum piercing:
They don't leave any visible scar when you decide to get rid of them, like.
And btw, Lilmiss, I don't think nasal septum piercings go through cartilage, rly, in case that worries you.
It doesn't come out anywhere you can see. The piece that goes in there looks something like one of these:

I think. Both tips or whatever on one of those can be screwed off individually, so basically you just screw one end off, push the rod through, and screw the thing together again.
Smiley, btw:

I gotta say, Biggles, that tats are tricker to get rid of than most piercings (which usually only leave a tiny scar).
Anyways, whatever she gets, I hope she gets it because she thinks it looks good and fits her personality or something. Some people get piercings or tats just to show how different they are, or to shock people, and that isn't smart seeing as they have to live with them after the novelty has worn off.
It's funny when people get tattoos with spelling mistakes in them tho':smilie4:
My first tatt was a mix of pure impulse and something to do for a larf while a friend got his tongue pierced. I think a bit of peer pressure may have been involved too.
Me Ma got Thumper on her thigh a few years after I had me first ones done.
It looks ghey as.
I reckon something everyone who gets a tat or a piercing should do, is to try and imagine themselves twenty or thirty years from now, and how it's going to fit them then.
Having worked at a hospital and stuff, I know exactly how silly what must have been a really cool tat once upon a time might look on an old lady, or bloke.
Preferably before getting it done, liek.
I'll be impressed if I can bend my head round that far in 30 yrs.
I'd be impressed if you needed to bend your head round to see it then:ph34r:
taking possible saggage/bloatage into consideration here.
:tease:
Meh, I only had my back done so I can be a walking colouring book for minez grandchildren. :snooty:
you should get wally hidden in it somewhere, so i've got something to do:whistling
:no comment:
I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THIS ARGUMENT.
When I'm old I'll be ugly anyway, what harm's a little tattoo going to do when I'm already fat and wrinkly. It's not like it's going to get hairy and grow a vagina or something.
Besides, I personally respect old codgers with piercings and tattoos, still smoking joints and swearing like they did at 15. Permed grannies, knitting in their comfy chairs all wrapped up in their pastel cardigans are creepy.
groovy ;-)
I only wrote that a couple of hours ago, maybe you need to give it time, like.
I don't think I've ever seen that exact combination before, but here's the thing: Just this last month I've seen girls with orange, red, indigo and blue hair. I've seen them with hair dyed black, with dreadlocks of fake purple hair woven in together with bits of white cloth. I've seen them with pierced lips, noses, ears and so forth. And all the pierced ones had jewelry made from silver or chromed surgical steel (it looked like), some with what was probably polished bits of glass or zirconium at the tip of studs. (Whatever happened to stuff made of gold or something?)Quote:
Imagine the picture of me at the beginning of this thread, with a silver nose stud and a small, decorative semi-moon on the back of the neck.
I've seen women with suns and moons and roses tattooed. In short, I've seen all the addons you have or are interested in, although not at once, as far as I can recall. And to be honest, after a while all of them with their artificial hair colours and their generic piercings sort of start to blend together. So if I'd seen you walk past me on the street, you'd just have been one among many, as far as those aspects of your personal style went.
So (again) in short, I'd not consider you unique in that respect.
But this is here and that is there. Maybe people in Britain don't look that way.
Purely aesthetically, tho', it's all right. And you aren't supposed to do it just to be different anyways, so who cares if some people look like you.
I have to say, though, that the hair alone, without piercings, tattoos and no more make-up than what you are wearing on that photo (if anything) would probably make me, personally, notice you more. Sometimes, it feels as if all the things a lot of the ones I described put on take away the person behind them, if that makes sense, and that's what lends them that sameness.
 @ grow a vagina!
Go for the nose piercing. A tiny hoop would look lovely on you, I think.
I've always thought that girls with ears that are not pierced are really cool, so I'd leave those as they are.
Seriously Les, if she's got a hoop it'll only leave the tiniest scar if she wants to take it out. You might as well let her have it and make sure it's done proper instead of having her go to some charlatan who uses a stud gun to pierce noses
It's not like it's going to be a permanent fixture. If she doesn't like it anymore she can just take it out
All piercings and tattoos are retarded.
That is all.
