Have faith, they always come back. Demonoid probably had the most variety of torrents out there. On most occasions if they didnt have it noone would have it. As for canadians i'm canadian and there is ways to get around the block. Also for the one who got a nasty letter when they downloaded off for demonoid you need to pay attention to if its there tracker or an external one. One of the worst external ones that are on there is pirate bay. I got a nasty letter from them but no biggie, im canadian they dont bother us too much :)
But either way Don't give up. They always find a way to come back. Hoepefully it will be soon.

Since TPB is hosted in Sweden, and hosting .torrent files is legal there(since they contain no copyrighted material, only a hash), it means the site can't be taken down. You can see http://thepiratebay.org/legal for some funny responses to takedown notices that also explain a bit better.Quote:

Few months back I was really taken aback knowing that Demonoid moved from Sweden to Canada. All these profit seeking organizations like RIA are basically US patron and Swedes really have the guts to tell them "back off". They could never make the rules changed according to their whims. Tried once to raid the PB but people came on street and Govt backed off. TPB was back on line in no time.
