They're not trying to code the worst designs, it doesn't work like that. Most people who code (either for the web or computer science wise) don't really have a strong sense of design nor aesthetics. They code what works and what's usable and leave the color scheme/graphical elements for second.Quote:

Hard to say the best... I think iTS is the best for my taste, after that... nCore, F*N, TL, SCL, TTi etc.
Regarding to the worst... no doubt: SITR... unbeatable... it has reached the next level of ugliness, second Tophos and bronze for ChronicTracker.

Best: Softmp3, FTN, E***o, SceneHD, TTi
Worst: BCG, Ftwr, PEC, Powerbits

the WORST tracker designs are definately Punktorrents and BwT. I'm talking about design, not just how it looks. These are both forums with links to torrents they host, and its always annoying because you'll ifnd what you want but itll have been from 2 years ago and itll be dead. how can you say tophos and bitsoup are worst? they dont look great, but they work fine

I think the most of trackers have not nice design...
The good designs would be the clover(stylish),waffles(beautiful),bitme(bright n wonderful), iPLAY(sleek) and KG(love the advanced search,very unique design).
But from the e**** review i'd have to say e**** has the best! Absolutely stunning,kudos to the designer!

best: ftn, its they have that style which i feel home in (nCore is pretty damn nice to)
worst: libble, IT feels like standard with same or different colors

I don't like revtt or tophos at all and for some reason what feels like it isn't finished yet. I didn't used to like torrentleech either but it's growing on me.

Tvtorrents the worst one? I like it, it's quite unique and proper. How can you not like it? The shows are all placed in alphabetical order. If you know what you want you just scroll down to see if it's available.Quote:

As a designer, I really really care about the design and overall feel of a tracker. It might sound dumb, but it matters to me.
Best: Without a doubt partis.si with FTN (<3) coming in 2nd. I mean, have you guys seen partis.si, it's breathtaking! It even has coverflow for browsing the various torrents. The unique design of FTN also really appeals to me and makes me feel even more proud to be part of it.
Worst: SITR... and some others I can't remember right now.

I think when you discuss design it is to broad because there are several elements to the design of a tracker, the one most are discussing is the graphical layout but there is the usability and the database backend as well which contribute.By usability I mean ease of navigation , how easy is it to find thing you are after, ie. search personal settings etc, the navigation toolbars and how they are laid out etc . Also there is the database i.e. when you click on something how quickly does the site actually respond ?
For me though the worst overall because it is really odd to stumble around finding things in is Cinema Obscura, my favorite graphical design would have to be TTi but the one that has the best layout since you can group your forum interests and clubs has to be FSC and the 1337 stylesheet aint bad either.
