thanks, my kaspersky AV has run out of licence time :s so the info about NOD32 is great

love nod32. low on resources compared to that stupid Nortons AV.

I like using Avast. The free version does everything you need in an AV program. It seems to find everything, and can even scan web (http) and e-mail (pop3) in real-time. No pop-ups, spyware, nagware, etc. either in the free version.

I'll second Zonearlarm as best firewall.

I am using Twister AntiVirus and it is very good and cheap in the same time, as you pay just once for lifetime. It is true that after the first scan you will find some unknown viruses/troyans on your desktop/laptop, but you have the possibility to rename them. If you haven't tried NOD32 then I suggest you do. You might end up liking that antivirus alot more than kaspersky

i tried everything but always return to kaspersky i do not recommend it to every one because most users do not want to interact with the threats.

Is there any chance for do it for ever, not temporally??

Setup>Personal Firewall>Advanced Personal Firewall Setup>Rules and Zones>Press setup button in zone and rule editor>Click on utorrent in list>Hit new button>

Under general tab give the rule a name (I called mine allow) than for direction select "both". Action set to "allow". Leave protocol as TCP & UDP now hit ok. Now hit apply.

I use eset as well and like it more than any other i have tried and i have tried most of them. Light footprint, relatively easy to use but at the same time many options for advanced users.

Try and search for a antivirus called Avira it is a really good free program

yeah but kaspersky keys are often blacklisted.

programme has its own specific guide as to what u should do in the event that u detect a virus and the program will inevitably guide u through the steps. If a virus gets past your scanner or the scanner cannot remove the virus here then u should consult the manual/help for your software or the website of the manufacturer. has anyone mentioned GeekSquad MRI as THE BEST antivirus? I would certainly say its #1 in terms of detection/removal. Not so much on availability

currently i 'm using prevx x64 , is the lighter , fastest antivirus i used . It's size is less than 1mb and the detection are removal are also top natch

The only downside is that it needs an internet connection to work , but it's ok with me since i'm always connected with broadband connection

It is not an antivirus, but rather a system utility software and it doesn't scan for malware , or is it ?

i used to use AVG free for a long time, but now i don't use it, i use more of bitdeffender a pirated version of many years and works like a charm for me, warez-bb is the best place for pirated softwares according to me
