AVG free...
Norton, for sure.
Best (free) = avast!
Norton!
Avast and norton are the worst
Kaspersky 2009
nod32 for me
Every time I plug in my USB stick at work, their damned F-Secure deletes Jellybean :@
XD
I use KIS and actually pay for mine - just search for the cheapest price on any version (ebay is good) and use the key to install the latest one.
Norton
If you are interested, I will say shich one is the best: Avira AntiVir Premium.
undoubtedly the kaspersky + avira thou kasp has more flase +vs but after proper settings no1 can beat it
AVG, it fails hardcore with detection
symantec, it consistently hogs up resources and locks your pc down so much that programs dont work.
mcafee
defintely say mcafee. but, norton is right up there.
McAfee was the worst av i have ever used !!!
It slowed down my computer horribly every time it did a scan or updated or even when the the windows starts it took usually about 4-6 min. to just get past the welcome page !! really hate it !:@:@
Norton :)
I have tried macfee norton synaptec kaspersky micorsoft security essentials all recently new releases and I dont like having any. they all cause bad computer slowdowns and I still have had problems with viruses and junk with them. When i had protection it was like having a radar detector i thought i could push the limit and I still got caught out. So now I run bareback and just pay attention to the portals i dip my tool into. So the worst is having one and the best is using your brain and asking is it a good idea to d/l this. if this was a girl that was rumored to hav the herp would it still be worth the risk... and sometimes when i'm desparate i click anyway and yes it ends up in an aw F, time to reformat.
I see some responses that norton is the worst antivirus . Norton is pretty decent nowadays . It used to be a resource hog but it got better . It's light and efficient but not as light as eset of course .
On the other hand f-secure is really really bad .
norton is useless.
avast antivirus
norton bring me first reboting in 2004.. so never i use it again
Yeah definitely nortons, slowed my machine to a standstill
i fully agree. norton is the worst.
nortorn
Avast was a major headache and a big resource hog. CPU load was greatly affected while using it.
Norton's....
Definitely and without a doubt Symantec, all editions, both consumer and business!
I got hit with MS AntiSpyware 2009 virus about 2 months ago, and it, completely got by Norton. I spend 2 days trying to fix it up, what a waste of time. I tried a couple of free av trials, but they couldn't find it. The Cyberdefender free trial did find it, but I had to pay to fix it. So I did since it was about $40 to get the full version, which is about what it costs for others. It also came with a money back guarantee, so I figured to try it.
Anyway, it fixed some of the issues but not all, and since it comes with a 24 x 7 call center, I called it and they were really helpful. They told me that since I installed the software after I got the virus that they would need to fix it by remote access. 5 minutes later it was done and the system was clean.
Since then I have gotten a pop-up every now and then saying something is attacking my computer, and I click the button and it is blocked. Easy to use and I am happy with it. It does seem that it is really for non-technical users like myself, so some of the more experienced user may want something else. JMHO.
norton suck
mcafee.........is the worst ....
AVG + Norton + Mcafee
It's really difficult choose between this 3 av...
wow I'm going to have to agree...Norton FTW haha or loss.
avg, my opinion..
i am thinking of uninstalling mine antivirus you dont really need one and its a hog. never had a virus either
Norton.. I'll say...
Win 7 + Norton = worst combinaton.. ;)
Norton - Can't believe how hard it is to get rid of it.
Norton , of course :)
