Probably a pretty long time still, I've never been much of a forum poster. In recent years this is probably my second highest post count next to single tracker forum, and here it's mostly jokes so that's probably why ;)
And I already have access to that forum (hence my descriptive post) so it'd be a moot point :P
Oh and for the record I already brought up the whole "giveaways for rep are just as bad as trading" topic in their forums and the result was being labeled a trader sympathizer and being berated by a group of comm reps that ironically ended up getting banned due to an IRC convo you allegedly participated in...

PS: There was never anything "alleged" about that conversation. I think my participation in it was quite clear, and never in question as to whether it was me, or not. In any case, I think we've hijacked Stoi's thread quite enough. If you want to discuss that the polite thing to do would be to start a new thread, or pm me.

I have jsut removed everyones referrals, 180,000+ in the system and about 2800 have been used in the past 2 months.
Time to rethink our stratagy.

you could do what RevoTT did one time...you give everyone 3 referrals and then you give them a limited amount of time to use all 3 of those invites - but one of the stipulations is that all of the new invitees must have a positive ratio with 25gigs uploaded(or whatever you choose).Quote:

Well it was only going to last for another 3 days anyway, then i would have removed them regardless, but thought i would do it now.
VIP are VIP on BCG (not just anyone), only certain members get it, and X Staff, we only have 50 VIPs so giving them a promotion to that class is a no no.
We will sort something out.

Well, now that the news page says there are no auto punishments, then I'm going to go ahead and use my referral. The problem that I was having is that all my friends and "online friends" are already members at BCG. So I was going to have to take a chance on someone I didn't know very well. And if that person screwed up, I was going to get a bunch of GB's added to my download stat. So that's why I've been hesitant to invite.Quote:
