If there's one way to get a room full of black guys riled up, it's a speech about having a few extra inches.
Would most likely have the opposite effect in an Indian locker room...

If you really, really want to get Black guys riled up,talk about White bitches with fat asses.
True story: My wife was grocery shopping one day, and caught the attention of an amourous black guy. He said, "Ohhh baby, how you get that big booty?" My wife, without missing a beat said, "Poor diet and lack of exercise." She walked off while he stood there speechless...
Fast and Furious and Torus...
Last Action Hero
- Good action movie.
Also apparently as far as the internet knows,Torus is Epoch a film vomited up by the Sci Fi Channel which is probably the worst thing to happen to movies since Adam Sandler. So basically 0 for 3.
Also since Last Action Hero almost killed Arnold's movie career,I don't think I'm being unfair in saying it sucked.
Tree>Sonny Bono>Cooter>Jesse Ventura>Fred Grady.True story.
Yeah, can't think of Sonny Bono without thinking of the George of the Jungle song...
A Hard Day - Kkeut-kka-ji-gan-da. It was good.
I'm pretty sure that would technically be a thriller but since nobody here seems to care about the essential differences I'm going to call it a period drama 'cause it warms my heart to be in the ignorant majority.:)
Can be found on IPT by searching "hard day 2014". Using the same terms with 2013 results in nothing but Willis in Russia. "What you talkin' 'bout, Putin?" was a great line, tho...
the equalizer
i second Equalizer, looking forward to the sequel. I thought Fury was quite good. (i quite liked David Ayers previous movie Sabatoge as well. ) and a slightly older one thats probably already been mentioned... The Raid 2.
Fury still isn't an action movie and Sabatoge isn't a word.
John Wick was awesome!
Some golden oldies: The Rock, Face Off, Layer Cake.
As far as newer movies go I'd have to go with: 2 Guns, Safe House. Divergent, and last but not least Sin City 2. :)
lol it was late and i somehow mispelt sabOtAge.
and Fury is 100% an action movie. dont talk nonsense. its been nominated for best action movie by the BFCA and on imdb the first descriptive word for it is "action".
i agree its not an action movie in the style of a typical statham/stallone/willis movie but thats only one type of action movie not the whole genre..
Now you and philquad argue how Saving Private Ryan isn't a War movie as it's first tag on IMDB is "action" and Apocalypse Now isn't a War movie because it's too far-fetched.
As for some awards putting it in the "Action" category I'm going out on the making sense limb and say that's probably because there's no War Movie category to submit it in.:mellow:I'm also going to assume that if you're bright enough to understand that action movies can encompass various sub-genres so can War movies.
Anyway isn't genre simply a term for what a film best embraces? That's why The Warriors is a Western even though it isn't .
Action movies usually have some revenge aspect and like video games a bunch of minor boss fights leading up to a final one. That's why you can call Aliens "Action" even though it's set in outer space and why a lot of movies people have listed here aren't.
No it wasn't,Roger Ebert.
John Wick and Equalizer are my recent movie choices. Well made action movies. No great plots.
New version of Total Recall
For over the top and just rife with one liners Shoot Em Up.
On Golden Pond. An absolutely action-packed movie. So much violence and mayhem. It is unreal. I couldn't believe what I was watching.
REcently I watched Non-Stop. Quite a nice movie. Equalizer is also worth watching.
well i like game of death.
taken 1,2,3 in blu ray no point see that movie in dvd
I'm fluctuating between you merely lacking taste and you being borderline retarded. So I'm gong to do the fair thing and split and difference and just say that you're a borderline retard with no taste.:)
Taken 1 was sort of OK for a couple of lines and that it gave Liam Neeson the opportunity to be an action star but Taken 2 was so bad that I have no desire to ever see Taken 3.
Also a good movie is a good movie regardless of format so I guess that explains your need t see Taken in blu ray.
'John Wick' starring Keanu Reeves was surprisingly entertaining.
'Taken 3' was ok. It's the same thing as before but keep me out of mischief for an hour and a half.
You have extremely low standards and by "low" I mean none at all.
John Wicks on the other hand was pretty decent but the ovbious low budget and the stupid blood splatter special effect head shots every time he shot anybody was extremely distracting.
Watch Man on Fire and then try to make anyone believe that.
Olivier Megaton could not frame or edit an action sequence to save his life. You'd think having been around Besson and Morel, some talent would have rubbed off on the guy. Taken 3's scenes are literally headache and nausea inducing. Guy needs to lay off the adderall before hitting the edit bay.
I hesitated on recommending Nightcrawler because I didn't expect others would enjoy it as much as I did. One of those, "Why did you tell me that was good?!?!" kind of shows. I'm glad I'm not the only one who found it interesting.
Gyllenhall's performance was quite good, IMO.
Far better than the overly-touted Birdman that I just finished. Well-acted,pretentiouswell-edited; shit story.
Not being versed in matters theatrical or that thespian soliloquy shit, I think a lot of the movie was lost on me. My takeaway was Ed Norton needs to act in more movies and Emma Stone should eat a sandwich (or 3).
BTW, any reviews that note the film's meta-commentary like it's some kind of profundity are just as annoying as those American Sniper meatheads.
