Every little bit helps.
Aaah! My name appears!
:)
Doesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy, BD?
It sure does, especially as it has to compete with SETI for CPU time!Quote:

yeh i can now be seen :D
I heard that seti@home is going to get its users to help out with other projects like folding@home.

finally.... after 5 days finished my first WU
i was at 65% and explorer crashed, taking folding@home with it
when i restarted the program, it started the first work unit again
Finally Finished my first and working on my Second. :)
seems a fairly serious kinda cause...im setting it up now.
yeh got the second one done now :D
:( clockers at the top now, coz someone keeps turning my computer off, so its only really my laptop running half the time. :(
the teams now ranked 2704. we're getting there
Hee, heee, hee.
Don't worry Livy, I'm going to be doing some work to my watercooling setup soon and will be down for a few hours so you'll have a chance to catch up.... :P
First WU finished:)
wooo hooo we are now ranked 2553 hehe:)
what machine have u got clocker.
coz u seem to be doing pretty well against me,
and i got a 2500xp barton with 512mb ram.
and a laptop, 1500xp and 320mb ram.
and u seem to be getting quite a bit ahead of me and keeping up with me easily when i was ahead.
I have a t-bred 2600+ clocked at 2.3GHZ and 1GB of RAM.
I've been running the app full-time at 100% usage.
Since I don't really do much besides surf and occasionaly DL something I have lots of spare cycles to donate :P .
ive got the app basically running full time at 100% on both aswell, the 2500 is sometimes used for soem gaming but nothing , much. and sometimes emule, which doesnt use much cpu anyway i dont think.Quote:

Well I'm going to be off-line for a day or so pretty soon to screw around with some mods to my cooling setup so you can make up some points then.
If it works as planned I'll be clocked even higher though, so I'll be nipping at your heels soon.... :P
I have joined "The Team,"
ive been noticing strange things lately : i have 2 cores - fahcore_78.exe and fahcore_65.exe , now the strange thing is when i have dc++ opened and im in my hub 1 core always trys to connect with the hub :o it wants to send an icmp to the hubs ip adress ! why should it want to do that ? and is it normal to have 2 cores ?
i have done numerous checks with all sorts of antitrojan stuff adaware etc. or could it be that the cpu is 2 big and it somehow brings the whole system crashing ? btw i also have 2 torrents going at the same time as well when i connect to dc++ and mozilla browser is on as well
Why not have a try? besides using Kazaa in free time, Seti is also a nice alternative.
@nanotek
It's not normal to have two cores.
the fahcore_78.exe is the Gromacs modelling code.
the fahcore_65.exe is the Tinker modelling code.
Both Tinker and Gromacs are molecular modeling software used to simulate the folding process.
I think you've got a messed up setup.
I would suggest looking at FAHlog.txt in your folding directory.
That might give clues about what is happening.
Also ask in the folding forum, in particular, the Client Side - Help section of the forum.
I have to add something: I used Seti some time ago as Screensaver, and it is really nice and useful cause you can help a little - but sharing would help more, means running K-Lite, cause we need more sharing on our earth - then we could search for aliens ;)
As Screensaver it is nice.
i made a quick logo for the team, nothing much, anyone else wanna have a go and ill change it with the logo ive put up.

i will complete work on the 3rd wu which is taking 400 steps then i will just delete and reinstall new i think that would be the easiest way to do it :) but i have noticed that there are some probs when the cpu is set too high and there are some conflicts as mentioned cause it always wants to connect to my dc hub <_<Quote:

Just close your eyes and imagine...
I stoped running this because it was causing problems with my computer.

I am in the middle of a work unit (775/2500), Does anyone know what will happen if I have to reboot my computer... I mean will the work be lost?
need another image host?
Go ahead and restart your computer, it saves your work about every 5-10 min.Quote:

it'll be fine the now, if i change it i will have to change the folding page details aswell. im gonna phone up to get my webspace back, isp suspended it coz i had kazaa lite on it, and they got crap from sharman. but theyll give me it back, just need to get round to phoning up. then ill host it there, they are fast and reliable.Quote:

if you go into the config options, you can set it to how long u want it to save data.
image should now show, although it may take time for them to update details, and also changed the url to the new one.
