You can use an older ver. of azureus: 2.2.0.2 which is connectable to any tracker.
I'm a member from an invite only site, it has all the stuff I downloaded but when I upload it says I've uploaded 0.00 MB while I've downloaded something like 245.8 MB. What's the deal?
I simply cannot get Azureus working full stop with Sygate or Kaspersky Anti Hacker.
I was going to try Zone alarm but theres supposedly a compatability issue with the two programs. I have lowered myself to MSfirewall :blushing: ...........shocking :blushing:
MS? Microsoft Windows Firewall, everytime I use that it blocks all my programs even if it IS on the exceptions lists, not to mention ports.Quote:

So I have ABC now, works fine, I like it so go for it. Walk away from Azureus... (Stopped working ever since the new version came out)
the only reason I use azureus is to cheat on my uploads, would never use it for downloading or seeding.
Jeez, you would think it would be better just to be honest about your share ratio.... :angry:Quote:

Yeh I do it occasionally, my main point was that thats the only reason I would ever use that pos Azureus.
Azureus works beautifully for me - best BitTorrent client without a doubt.
"But it uses Java" NOTHING. It's great, period.
The blue froggy is great...
i have no problem with the new AZ works fine for me :)
bitcomet and bittornado for ever (at least for now :p )
yes they have, I have banned it from my tracker also. :)Quote:

the memory hoggin is fixed if you use the latest version of AZ or use Java 1.4.7
why the new az be banned
I had v2.2 and it worked perfectly. now i upgraded to the latest version, which is 2.3.0.2. Now none of the files will connect to the tracker and begin to upload. May someone please help me?
Azeurus 2.3.x has some newer security features which should be disabled on private trackers, but I'm not sure if not doing this would stop it working completely. It's worth a try anyway:
Quote:
You should disable the following options (Tools-Options):
Connection
- Networks --> everything except public IP network - else it wont let you connect to a private tracker
- Peer Sources --> everything From a tracker
Files
- Save peer connections for quick reconnect --> disable it
Plugins
- if Tracker Web is installed then uninstall it with the Uninstallation Wizard: IRC, Tracker Dynmic Pages, Tracker Static Pages
- Distributed DB - Enable the distributed DB --> disable it
- Distributed Tracker - Only track normal torrents when tracker is unavailable --> disable it
Tracker
- Server -->disable everything
Sharing
- Protocoll for shared ressources --> HTTP
- Private Torrent... --> ENABLE THIS!
- leave the others unchecked
That should be it. Suggestions are welcome!

some trackers have banned this version.
alright, im using a private tracker (torrent-damage.net) , so it maay be the case.
eDIT: The tracker im using (torrent damage), im currently seeing people who are using az 2.3.0.2, and they are able to upload and download this. so i dont think banning is the case. BTW im seeing a red cirle at the bottom of the azureus software with the word, disabled, next to it, may someone help ?
The red light and the world disabled relate to the decentralised tracker sharing thing.
I guess it wouldn't help to tell you that mine is fine
did you enable distributed database ?
No :D
Did you try the tips Rick posted?
