in other news... isnt the dvd for reloaded due out before the release of revolutions? or am i mistaken?
Hmmm...youd think that would be the logical thing to do...but apparantly they may be re-releasing the film a little before Revolutions hits.
didnt think about that....
nice little money-spinner for 'em.
Bit like LOTR i suppose, re-releasing FOTR just as TT was out.
Probably get more revenue than DVD sales....u think?
The whole film seems to reek of a dichotomy between western and eastern philosophies. The only way the third film can really end is for neo to die. Thus ecsaping the futility of repeating (a symbolized) circle of life i.e. if he did 'reboot' the matrix for it all to start again, instead ataining true enlightnement and reaching a state of 'oneness' with everyting. While zion represents the path of enlightenment and not enlightenment itself. As any student of zen can tell you that if you know you have atained enlightenment then you cannot be enlightened. Similair to the oracles keeper who stated that you can only know someone by fighting them and not through intellectual debate i.e. asking is he is the one.
The concept of the film is very clever however I felt a bit let down by reloaded. The fact that we never see anyone racing to a phone to get out of the matrix took away a lot of the excitement which the original had. Also, why was it now possible for everyone to 'have a go' at the agents when they were practically unstoppable by everyone excpet neo in the original.
Although you have to hand it to the fight directors and teacher for the improvement they made to the actors ability. Compare the original scene of neo fighting morpheus in the original compared to the technique Keanu displays when fighting the oracles keeper. A vast difference in ability there. Although at times it just looked like an excuse for them to display a vast array of fighting styles. Plus check out all the openings created which are never taken advantage of.
I beg to differ , if you look at the last two pictures good , I would say that there DEFINITELY are similarities (roll up and down between the two pics a few times and look at the facial structure)Quote:

I think the bone structure of his face is different...
its not him
you cant see the eyes good enough in those pictures.
Lol, I just realized something.
You know the annoying kid, that follows Neo and Trinity around in Zion and stops Bane(Smith?!) from stabbing Neo?
I was wondering; where did that character come from, what's he doing there?
Actually he's a character from an Animatrix episode 'Kid's Story'!
Go watch it, you'll soon see the similarities.
Don't you just love all those cross-references the Wachowsky brothers made!
Makes you wonder if they have any other in store for us.
Bane's forehead is much wider than The Architect's forehead. Bane's head starts wide at the top and gets smaller as you go down. The Architect's is roughly the same width all the way down. The Architect's face is also a fair bit taller than Bane's.Quote:
