I think I know how it happened. In the olden days you'd always have someone, like cheebus, or you, or even me, ready to point out any and all flaws of american gun laws, take on religion, environmental politics and so on, and so forth in the drawering room.

Now that we've flogged those dead horses into oblivion, we're all kind of meh about it. So they've got no one to fight.



And without that, they're turning on themselves, much as I imagine the country would if they couldn't pick a fight with someone else.

If we're to preserve any merkins on this here bored we need someone ready to carry the same arguments over and over for eternity, no matter how stupid the arguments.


If only there were someone absolutely mental like that, ready to step in, at least three times a week, twice on saturdays.

Would have to be someone really dense and mental, though. Anyone normal would just bugger off.
