why don't we have two scales one for giveaways and the other for trade just to know which is which

I think thats a good idea. For example, I haven't traded once and don't intend to ever. All my rep points were from giveaways and if I had known that BT rep is usually from trading earlier I would have specifically asked my invitee's to not give me rep as it makes me look like a trader when I am not.
