Ok when I went right into the bios it had it running at 100X11. Its still there I have changed NOTHING. It was set to 1100. I dont know why it didnt autodetect to put it on 1.8 or w/e it runs on but it didnt.
I have my HDD and my CD-RW on the same IDE controller. The master is connected to the HDD and the CD-RW is connected to the Slave...Is that bad?
Are they both on the ends of the IDE cables and both set to master on the jumper? If so then it should be fine.Quote:

There on the same cord...so they cant both be at the ends. I have one cord with 2 spots. The master spot is on the HDD and the slave spot is on the CD-RW. Should they be on diff cords completley or what? I just dont know why I'm getting that stop message.
Maybe I could format C: before I put it into my new computer.
oh sorry i thought u said u have them on different ide cables sorry im too tired to read. U could try formatting it on ur other computer maybe it will work...
Maybe...But then if it dont then there too much shit to do to get it back to running on THIS computer even to talk to yall..ugh.
CLOCKER, VB...get over here lol
If I were you I would put the IDE hard drive on its own controller. I don't know about your mobo, but with Dell's proprietary mobo, it has the IDE and CD drives on completely different cables on the motherboard.
NO! Haven't we already expalined why this won't work? <_<Quote:
