I wouldn't go so far as to say I hated it but I would have much preferred for the book to end shortly after the confession.
It kind of lost me around the part about first asking for discretion and then throwing in the bit about this being an "open board".
I would say the author was attempting some ironic twist there but I think he considers the book to be a drama and not a comedy so probably not.
Anyway all I know is that I've punched people in the face who have taken it with better humour.
