I use a green wax, so that's pretty disgusting.

I recently rode in some kind of thunderstorm and I'm not sure if that ends up leading to any damaged parts.

In general, we discourage behaviour of that sort.
How will we ever earn the respect of motorists if we flee weather events, screaming like little girls?
They already hate us because of our colorful spandex, we need a real image overhaul.

That is why the new official policy of the cyclist will be to face the wind, stiffen the lip and pedal resolutely directly into the vortex.
Remember that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
And crippled, usually.

That's all find and me being dandy, it was a waterspout heading ashore. I'm more worried if I should be conditioning my chain and gears with some kind of lubricant.
