hiphop was originaly started by the black and latino culture it was about something it was about a struggle, mainly started because the pooer class people couldnt afford a guitar or a drum set at the time.

basic break down, now days the hiphop/rap cultre you see aka the "mainstream" is what Represents hiphop today to the original meaning of hiphop is lost withing the cultre of mainstream, Bussiness giants or your masters anr's etc choose what you make and write about, you see it's about
"numbers" MTV or VideoHits etc dont care about the cultre the art the skill anymore they care about $$$ money aka numbers, if 50cent can sell a million records then they want him, regardless of his skill in hiphop etc.
and most of 50cent's fans are white people 80+% (using 50cent as an example here)

eminem was into hiphop originaly for the art, he battled at scribble jam and he won,
battled some very good underground artists and won. he was good back in his day
he used to rhyme for the love or with the elements. but you see things like encore toady
and eminem has lost the love for hiphop, not caring about the elements, just look at songs like "just loose it rah rah rah rah rah" i mean seriously if he wasnt famous
he wouldnt even get looked at.
im not sure how to explain it further, try getting into underground hiphop and see how different it is with the meaning/lyricism.

I don't like rap for a lot of reasons, mainly because like 99% of em are always rapping about:
1) look at how much money i have
2) cadillacs
3) bentleys
4) other cars
5) chicks = sluts that like to just dance around me in music videos
6) money
eminem is on a higher lever than that, he doesn't care about those things and focuses on other issues and uses his talents to emphasize that. The last thing we need is more people preaching about being rich and driving their Mercedes.

Yeah you are 100% right, the only other artist i can think of that can compare with Eminem is probably Kanye West.
