last cd's i bought was last weekend,
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden
and
Killswitch Engage - Alive Or Just Breathing
both of these id downloaded before cos i dont see the point in spending £12 upwards on a cd if its gonna be shite, so most of the time i use mp3's as a "try before you buy" kind of thing.
I'd definately agree that cd's are too damn expensive these days and it seems to be getting worse, at the end of they day they'll have to realise that all they're doing by making cd's too pricey is causing people to d/l the mp3's or find a pirate copy.
next album i hope to buy is,
alkaline trio - Good Mourning

Gotta say I'm one of those who don't buy CDs anymore unless it's rare stuff.
Since I have limited funds (my boss does have a portrait of Scrooge on his office wall!) - If I'm gonna buy stuff, I prefer to spend what I do have on DVDs if (1) a film is worth it and (2) it's either rare/deleted or only crappy copies available on Kazaa.
I still use Amazon Marketplace or eBay tho' rather than buying new.
But us Yorkshire folk aren't known for splashing out :D

I Mother Earth - The Quicksilver Meat Dream
For anyone who cares to know, it blew BGO out of
the F***ing water!! Not quite as good as Dig or S&F, though...

lets see the last cd i bought myself was rob zombie-the sinister urge, that was a while back too.
-
The last CD was "The Essential Bob Dylan" Double CD.
As i have only got a 56k modem, i only download the rare Songs like "a flock of seagulls" i ran, tracks like that are so hard to get were i am.
I do use the Library for some CD's

Am I the only one here who objects to the term 'Pirate'. I think that term is so completely Unpolitically Correct. I myself would rather be referred to as 'StickItToTheRIAAWhoWantToSellUsOneHalfDecentTrackAnd14PiecesOfShitTracksly Challenged'. It is a mouthful but I think it makes my point. :)

The last music I bought; records at a new/used record shop.
Sly Stone, San Francisco 1964-67
Louis Armstrong & King Oliver (brand new)
Subramaniam, blossom
Jimmy Smith, It's Necessary (brand new)
Peter Tosh, Legalize It (brand new)
John Coltrane, gave it away, can't remember the title (brand new)
Miles Davis, also gave it away, I think was Live in Central Park, it's was bright orange. (brand new)
I got a discount on all of them, something like eight bucks a record, including the ones still wrapped in plastic. This place had thousands of records, tens of thousands.
