i think browsing speed is an very interesting critera, that i haven't read about so often on that board so far.

i hate it when a site has slow browsing speeds. i switch from tracker to tracker a lot in my bookmarks and it always annoys me when one site loads remarkably slower than the other.

so i decided to do a little ranking on browsing speeds:

1. sct (absolutely fast and relieable. great speed)
2. oink (enormous browsing speed for such a huge tracker)
3. ftn (it always takes a while to load the startpage)
4. hd-bits (lots of pics, a little slower)
6. revtt (sometimes it sucks)
7. scc
8. tl (get stuck sometimes)
9. dvdclub (barely legal)
10. demonoid (fucking slow)
.
.
.
and hundrets of sites, that are nearly unbrowsable e.g. kg

some people often don't consider this criteria before they want a site.

there are of course other good ones like tt etc. etc.

FTN is better just for the users that like to kiss staff's ass because they are active here. If Brandon wouldn't have given invites or been active here i am preety sure the number of FTN suporters would have been far smaller. The numbers say everything, 100 000 + vs. 15 000/20 000( 20k just because they removed ratio, usual number is max 15k). If FTN was better ,the numbers would be different , no? And don't mix "why FTN is better for ME with the FACTS( which are ScT is a better tracker , no matter the preference)

directed @ thor: With <7000 users, i think he should answer the pms in irc and on site. and who was silenced on SceneNetwork, cause i dont think he was staff, and don't get smart or talk rude to me, i wont take that shit from anyone. Rest of those question were rhetorical, so no answer was needed, ive been at FTN longer then most of the staff, you have no idea what goes on at FTN, just cause i signed up at FST a short while ago, doesn't mean i don't know what im talking about, keep that in mind next time.

Maybe I don't know what goes on behind FT.N, but I've known most of the staff since ByteEm/Exabits, and they're not immature backstabbers at all.

It's a personal preference choice in the end, nothing more, nothing less.
