I found a skin on V2 that I liked. I'm coolio for the moment. Just curious, tutipute - how many external apps are received daily on average when you open it up??

Well, it depends on a lot of things like when was the application last opened, how many invites have been recently sent/given to users, etc... Also, it varies between different days of the week (working days/weekend). Generally, i would say its about 50-100 +-.
