Re: The Top 10 Most Wanted Trackers 2011
In my sensible world it would be
1. Waffles
2. x264
3. theVault
4. thePlace
5. SDBits
6. tehConnection
7. Pedro's
8. BTN
9. TranceTraffic
10. TorrentLeech
Honorable mentions:
Karagarga
TVT.com is great but has no WEB-DL
Demonoid for obvious reasons
I can't comment on IPT since I'm not a member, but I would think TL has at least most of what is on there.
What and PTP suck because they don't allow Azureus/Vuze
Almost all E-Learning material can be found through Google, so I don't really see the need for any general E-Learning trackers.

You cannot be more wrong, especially after listing TheVault and ThePlace in your list. What category do you list those two trackers in, if not e-learning?
Re: The Top 10 Most Wanted Trackers 2011
theVault and thePlace are absolutely not general E-Learning trackers. There is lots of business/mind/body material there that can't be found anywhere else. Also if it wasn't for their brilliant forums which compliment the sites so well, I wouldn't have listed them at all.
I was a member of BitMe and suddenly found I had no use for it. Started logging in just to keep the site alive, then eventually forgot that too and was deleted.
Re: The Top 10 Most Wanted Trackers 2011
Is there some thing exclusive to e learning tracker? I guess most can be found on warezbb

Well, BitMe recycles a lot of other material. Between edu lectures just thrown into a torrent, material pawned off other sites etc. there's hardly anything unique that makes it there.
However, it's a good foot-in-the-door for people to get started on e-learning. Dismissing it entirely would be akin to saying undergraduate school is useless and we should all just starting on doctorates out of the womb.

TheVault and GFXnews strike me instantly as irreplaceable exclusive material providers.

I never said dismiss them. I said most if not all torrents on those sites can be found through Google. I never used E-Learning much, but when I was a member on BitMe, 90% of the time when I wanted to find something specific, I didn't find it there. Around half of the time I found what I was looking elsewhere through Google. The other half I didn't find it at all.
And yes, GFXnews was an awesome site as well, but I didn't use their resources enough and was eventually deleted there. I didn't list any game trackers either as games don't really interest me. I'm sure if I was interested in magic, then some magic tracker would be on there as well. Same with other niche sites that simply don't interest me. Same with HD sites where I simple don't download enough to justify finding an invite.
Very few top 10 lists will be the same... except maybe from the scene fanboys.
Re: The Top 10 Most Wanted Trackers 2011
Ya I don't know where he is getting GFT as number 3....
Most invite beggars go straight for the gold (in their eyes FTN).
Personally GFT is my most unused site that I am "active" at.
The only thing seeded on their pretty much is odd porn collections, which I don't normally fancy.
Actually that has seemed to change..

That one should be on my list, but I overlooked it mainly because it is so niche focused, and only of interest to a small percentage of the community. It is, however, an amazing resource for those who are interested in its offerings.

In that case Cyclingtorrents.nl.
