Wait, I heard of the guy named Hindenburg who was the last President of the Weimar republic, but I doubt I heard of the Hindenburg airplane before.

The Great Depression happened because instead of feeding money to bolster the economy, the federal reserve stopped funding the banks, which then started to fall, creating even more unrest as people tried desperately to withdraw their funds from other banks, which then fell as well.

It was a total lack of vision, by the dimwits in charge at the time, that caused mass misery for millions.
